[ dokucom in general ]
What is this site?
This site is little more than a repository for my brain garbage. Art, stories, comics, random crap, gaming characters, it all gets thrown up on here. Well, not thrown up as in vomited, but you know what I mean. Basically, if you want to read a comic, click "manga." You want to look through art, click "art." (Though I must admit there is plenty of other art to be found in other places.) For short stories, novels, etc, click "stories." All the random other things like shrines and RPGs are under "projects." Hope that helps navigate.
What's the main focus/genre of the site?
Hm.. everything's anime influenced, I'll give you that, but there's very little on existing anime. It's mostly original work. Fantasy, sci-fi, parody, all that. There's also Harry Potter and Watership Down fanstuffs, and some furry stuff thrown in for good measure.
How old is this site?
Around three years (gasp.) I was on SaucyBard.com for a bit before then, and tripod and xoom even before that, but those were different sites with different content. (Type my [real] name into a websearch and see what I mean. The first thing that comes up is a really old Nuka shrine. Oi..) Dokucom's first real appearance on the web was in February of 2000.
Who makes this site?
Me, Kai Wolf, AKA Kai Faolan, Cash, Negachick, and a host of other names. I'm an 19 year old college student living in NYC. Ph34r. (If you wanted to know about me, you followed the wrong link. You should have clicked "about".)
Then what's the deal with Crazy Angels?
Crazy Angels is the work of the insanely talented Neofox. Yaoilovers.com died, and I offered to host CA for her until she could get her own domain. It's the only thing you'll find on the domain that's not by me, because I generally don't host. In Neo's case, however, I love her comic and would have hated to see it bite the dust for want of hosting. Please don't ask me to host you. The answer is no. (And yes, you should go read Crazy Angels right now, foo'.)
Who's the chick on the right?
That "chick" is Dokuja, the (male) namesake of the site. He is a character in my comic "Idol Archer" which you can find by clicking "manga" above.
When will you update [insert project title]?
When I get around to it. If you'd like, you can e-mail me and pester me to update. I actually read all the e-mails I get (well, except for the junk ones, but that doesn't count) and I try to respond. And believe it or not, a little poking CAN get me to work on things. ^_-
Any warnings before I go snooping around your site?
Sure. If you don't like yaoi/shonen-ai/boy-boy love, you're in the wrong place. If you're offended by swearing, or making fun of religions, or violence, or nudity, you're in the wrong place. If you came here explicitly for any of these things, you're going to be very disappointed.

What do you draw with?
I draw with a mechanical pencil, .05 lead, which is usually but not always firmly attached to my hand. I ink with anything, really, but I tend to use Rapidoliner's since they're such good quality (even though they leak like bitches). I colour with Prismacolour Art Markers, coloured pencils, or my computer (using Paint Shop Pro 6.0, Painter Classic, or a combination of the two). Yes, I have a Wacom tablet, and no, you can't touch it.
Do you accept fanart?
Like I'd accept a fifty million dollar check right now. I adore fanart. It makes me very happy. My e-mail address is kai@dokuja.com. I love you.
Why is there so much gay stuff on this site? Are you gay? Don't you know homosexuality is a sin?
Because I like it. Gay boys in anime/manga are cute. No, I'm not gay. That would kind of defeat the purpose of liking boys so much, wouldn't it? And homosexuality isn't a sin any more than shaving or wearing a swimsuit or sowing two grains in one field. Your holy book is a little outdated.
Why is there like a year-long gap in updates/why don't you update more often?
There's a year long gap because I went through a sort of slump where I wasn't really doing anything. No drawing, no writing, nada. You'd think this would have improved my schoolwork. Nope. Didn't do that either. Anyway, I'm trying to get my act back together and update a lot more frequently in the future, for what that's worth.
Got a question? Ask.
