.....

Wow. I can't believe Dokucom's coming up for its sixth anniversary. (I bet you're all having heart attacks that I'm actually posting an update, aren't you? *listens to the crickets chirp*) In any case, since IdolArcher has its own domain now, I've found fewer and fewer excused to update this site. Most of my time's been devoted to school and role-playing projects (like Hearts of Antiquity - please apply!), and what writing I have done has been fanfiction, for the most part. I'm so terrible. So what's new enough around here to justify a post? Well..

When I switched hosts (to GoDaddy, who are turning into a bigger pain than ADDR), I essentially just saved a backup of everything I had uploaded and then re-uploaded it all onto the new server.. which turned out to be dumb, because I had a newer version on my computer. (Sigh.) So now, months later, I've finally gone in and fixed all the things that went wrong (like the layout), as well as making sure the whole page works in FireFox, which is now my browser of choice (but I'm not going to tell you to run out and get it.. I still don't have anything against mIE). I also adjusted the main layout (the bigger resolution) because I have a widescreen laptop now (Adonis 1.0 suffered a harddrive crash while I was in Japan - not cool), and it looked silly to just have it cut off on the right. So essentially the only thing new is the fact that everything looks right again - I threw in some CSS to make the backgrounds stop scrolling (why don't you recognise the bg-properties code, FireFox?) and make the frames look right. No actual new content, though I do advise you to check out my sad little DeviantArt account, which has a few new things. DA's only going to be used for fanart and RP characters, however, as stuff tends to get stolen off there like crazy and I don't want to make my OC's any more vulnerable than they already are.

So.. I've actually got an idea for a new layout (it's a circus theme), but I'm so horribly busy and simultaneously lazy that I don't know when it'll ever get done. In the meantime, I'm going to try to chip away at all the stuff that needs to be spruced up around here, and see if I can maybe get some more content for you patient folks. Currently my only online endeavours besides RP and hitting up tons of Harry Potter communities revolve around my LiveJournal, which has a new layout for the first time since I finally made the switch to S2. Yay me! (Note: My LJ is friends-only and very boring, but I'm not opposed to adding people. Also, my userinfo is way more up-to-date than anything on this site, sigh.)

Anyway, I've got to get some work done, but know that I haven't forgotten you, DokuCom. Some day you'll become something other than an easy way to upload pictures of my cat to my LJ, I promise. ♥
