dokucom layouts

[ version 7.0 ]

Title: "Life in the Doldrums."
Version: 7.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: All images drawn and coloured by Kai.
Availability: Netscape compressed the JPGs badly, but that might just have been on my computer. o_O Worked best on the most recent version of MIE, and AOL users don't had to maximise their windows. Older versions of Netscape could screw up the tables.
Comments: Um.. it's.. grey! :D The subpage images are just doodles. >_> But I loved how the main page image turned out!

[ version 6.0 ]

Title: "Aftermath."
Version: 6.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: The splash page (not shown) was drawn by me but coloured by Rei Helen, and the image on the main page was done for me by Cat. ^^
Availability: This one was (or shoudl have been) compatible with all browsers at at least a 600x800 res! Woo! Yay for frames and tables working together for a better world!
Comments: Here I'm starting to get a bit better at filling up dead space, although in larger resolutions there was a lot around the egdes. My main fear is that bigger or smaller resolutions will screw up a layout if I make it too busy (because the more background is necessary the easier it is to screw it up) so most of my layouts are done in tables. Foo. I should try to be busier! This was quite a depressing layout and made some people squeal at me. >_>; I liked the subpages a lot. ^.^ If you close your eyes you can try to picture them and their coolness!

[ version 5.0 ]

Title: "Twilight Serpent."
Version: 5.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: All images drawn and coloured by Kai.
Availability: It was a pretty straightforward layout, but the fixed background scrolled in Netscape. Argh.
Comments: Here I moved away from my usual rectangular non-scrolling layout to something simpler in tables - and it actually looked busier and nicer than usual! Argh again. This was actually a pretty visually pleasing layout, but I changed it quickly because the rainbow-ness started getting to me.

[ version 4.0 ]

Title: "Filetime."
Version: 4.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: It's an altered image of a real model, done by Cat. I edited the pic and added the paperclip and all that, and the other graphics are all mine, although some of the mouseovers featured art by other people.
Availability: When you moused over a link, an image appeared to the right of the list of links and mousing over the friends links made them light up. This might not have worked on all browsers, however.
Comments: The dot on the circle around the updates info was animated and spinned around and around. ;_; I was so proud of this layout. It was very complicated for someone like me at the time, although it is still bare. ^^;

[ version 3.0 ]

Title: "Purple Poison."
Version: 3.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: By Kai. It's actually an edited version of the one used in version 1.0. o_O
Availability: The tables might not line up in older versions of Netscape because Netscape hates me. ;_;
Comments: I really liked my cool purple border, and the friends links changed and I adored the way they fit neatly across. XD I like the font too. Still in very simple tables with lots of blank space, however.

[ version 2.0 ]

Title: "Home of the Talasiths."
Version: 2.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: All images drawn and coloured by Kai.
Availability: Universal.
Comments: I don't like this one as much as the first, but I think I took the table off because I had too much stuff to fit in it or something. The image is better, at least (even if it's another Harlem Beat ripoff pose.)

[ version 1.0 ]

Title: "Dishy Doku."
Version: 1.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: All images drawn and coloured by Kai.
Availability: No problems (that we noticed).
Comments: I think the picture is icky, but that's just because my art style has been muchly refined since then. ^^; I kinda dig the tables thing.. t'was cool. o_o Especially for a beginner.

arcane layouts

[ version 2.0 ]

Title: Untitled.
Version: 2.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: By Kai. It's Saiko! Yay!
Availability: Dude, this was too simple to be fooked up by ANY browser.
Comments: Arcane's Asylum, featuring Saiko the Psycho.. Oh, no, not frightening at ALL. Fear Kai's beginning HTML skills.

[ version 1.0 ]

Title: Untitled.
Version: 1.0
Screencap: Partial. (Click above.)
Images: By Kai. Shudder.
Availability: Hahaha. Like anything could go wrong with BASIC TABLES.
Comments: Arcane's Asylum in its first form. This was the first NON fansite I had on the internet. It was originally hosted on the saucybard (now defunct) by Del.

ssk layouts

[ version 4.0 ]

Title: "So many senshi!"
Version: 4.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: All images drawn and coloured by Kai.
Availability: This should work for everyone.
Comments: Okay, the picture had more than a little inspiration from Thousand Arms (Meis! :D Soushi <3!) but I like this layout anyway. It's... cute.

[ version 3.0 ]

Title: "Blur."
Version: 3.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: All images drawn and coloured by Kai.
Availability: DEFINITELY the most complicated and slowest-loading layout I've ever done. Oi. I'm sure it had TONS of compatability problems.
Comments: You mouseover each senshi and she comes into focus. Dumb idea, not very pretty, and not very clean HTMLing. Never again, I tell you.

[ version 2.0 ]

Title: "Celtic Moon."
Version: 2.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: All images drawn and coloured by Kai.
Availability: Eh, this was just tables.
Comments: A fledgling attempt at Angel Sanctuary's style. I've decided I hate it so don't expect more. -^_^-

[ version 1.0 ]

Title: Untitled.
Version: 1.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: All images drawn and coloured by Kai.
Availability: Not only was this simple tables, but it SCROLLED. Shoot me.
Comments: Shane was howling in the background, but you can't tell in this screencap for some weird reason.

tannas layouts

[ version 2.0 ]

Title: "Angelsword?"
Version: 2.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: All images drawn and coloured by Kai.
Availability: No problems I knew of.
Comments: At the time this featured the whole cast, but we soon outgrew the layout...

[ version 1.0 ]

Title: "Forest Mist."
Version: 1.0
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: All images drawn and coloured by Kai.
Availability: No problems.
Comments: This was before the RPG actually had any art, heh. It worked. *shrugs*

gift layouts

[ truth ]

Title: "Second Truth From the Left."
For: Lyn of kurai.com.
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: Not by me. Some fanart for one of the recipient's comics, Karma Slave.
Availability: No known problems.
Comments: I was so madly insanely proud of this layout. I thought it was gorgeous. I was apparently a minority.

[ pulchritude ]

Title: "Pulchritude."
For: KitKat! KK-Doll! ^___^
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: Fanart for one of her stories. Nooot by me. o_o
Availability: Universal.
Comments: This one was very simple. Grr. I could have done so much better.

[ beware of dog ]

Title: "Beware of DOG!"
For: Mew471. Just e-mailed me out of the blue for it. o_o
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: GIR (c) Jhonen Vasquez and Nick. Not my image.
Availability: Pretty sure it worked on everything.
Comments: Like I said, she e-mailed me from nowhere with a pic of GIR and said "Make me a layout from this please!" and this was the result. o_o Kowai...

[ bad karma ]

Title: "Karma Slave"
For: The above-mentioned Lyn's comic, Karma Slave. As far as I know it's still being used.
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: By Lyn.
Availability: Should work on everything.
Comments: I kinda liked how this one came out. Simple, functional, used the creator's work instead of fanwork (I ALWAYS prefer when the artwork on a site is by the designer, which is why fanart in my layouts is really rare), looked pretty good. Yay for Kai. (Mmm, rhyme.)

[ sin sin sin ]

Title: "Iniquity Knight."
For: Lyn. It was for the profile of DS's old Iniquity Knight.
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: By Kai. Fear the Kenshin-esque style.
Availability: Should have worked on anything with frames.
Comments: Uh.. this layout pisses me off 'cause of memories associated. Note to general public: if someone makes a layout for you and that someone is Kai, please put it up in a timely fashion so she doesn't get pissed and privately call you a filthy stinkin' ingrate. ^_^

[ nyao? ]

Title: "Neko Neko."
For: Profile page for Lyn's character in the Tannas Hollow RPG.
Screencap: Partial. (Click above.)
Images: By Kai, sadly. The image on the "to the RPG" or whatever button was by Lyn.
Availability: Should have worked on everything.
Comments: I really have nothing to say about this one.

[ jumi ]

Title: "Jumi Senshi RPG."
For: Uh.. The Jumi Senshi RPG. Before it closed, anyway.
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: MOUSEdrawn by Kai. Yes folks, pre-tablet. She's very proud.
Availability: Good for anyone with frames.
Comments: The layout was really simple, but the images were damned cute (says I says I).

[ e stands for..? ]

Title: "E."
For: Lyn (of kurai.com) yet again.
Screencap: Yes. (Click above.)
Images: By Kai. Eish. Hurui arutto wa kowai.
Availability: Should have been universal.
Comments: Another layout that pissed me off, largely because it was never used. It wasn't that good anyway, but grrrr.
